Our Story
Panduwasnuwara Tours first took to the road during the 1978–79 period. Back then, a bus was a rare sight in the North Western Province, and the service was initially operated for tours across the island.
Public transport was very different in those days. Even before private buses were officially granted permission for public transport in 1979, Panduwasnuwara Tours was already running between Wariyapola and Hettipola. If memory serves right, it was also the very first private bus to operate alongside the CTB fleet between Chilaw and Kurunegala (Route 525, Bus No. 29 Sri 3501). To this day, it brings us great joy when former passengers meet us and fondly reminisce about those early journeys.
Due to unexpected challenges at the time, the service had to be paused after a decade of trusted operations.
Now, nearly 40 years later in 2026, we have proudly brought this legendary name back to life—carrying forward the same trust, dedication, and promise of a reliable journey.
